(403) 253 1029Matthew (Matt) Gray is a dedicated and driven student-at-law at Grover Law with a strong interest in all types of litigation. He graduated from the University of Alberta’s Campus Saint-Jean in 2015 with a Bachelor of Education and earned his Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law in April 2024.
During his legal studies, Matt volunteered with Student Legal Assistance and Pro Bono Students Canada and served on the executive boards of the University of Calgary OUTLaw Club and the Negotiation Club. He participated in the final round of the 2023 Julius Alexander Isaac Moot, presenting arguments before Supreme Court Justice Mahmud Jamal on Critical Race Theory. In his final year, he also competed in the final round of the 2024 Bastarache Moot, where he argued in French before former Supreme Court Justice Michel Bastarache and was awarded the accolade of best oralist, highlighting his exceptional oral advocacy and persuasive skills.
In his spare time, Matthew enjoys engaging in board games, tutoring ESL, hiking, exploring new languages, painting, and tackling DIY home decor projects.
